Standard teaching pieces by the 19th Century’s leading composer-guitarists Coste and Sor are presented alongside more rarely available works by Jaime Bosch, Franz Tucek and José Vinas. Original pieces by Berlioz and Paganini are included, as are carefully selected transcriptions of works by Rossini, Schumann and Johann Strauss.

Composer biographies and extensive teaching notes on each piece are included together with a CD recording of all of the works in the anthology, performed by Jens Franke.
